Oh Hyun-jong made (b.1973) her literary debut in 1999 when her short story “Addiction” won the New Writer’s Award after appearing in the monthly magazine Literature and Thought. Her major works include the short story collection Seiren, and the novels The Sacred Materialists and Sweet, Cold.

Park Haik is a South Korean novelist. She made her literary debut in 2010 when her short story “Kkonmureusiyagi” (꽃무릇이야기 Story of Flowers) won the Dongyang Ilbo New Writer’s Contest. Park has co-authored an anthology with other writers on selected themes. Kim Sok Bom

Kim Sok Bom was born in 1925 in the Ikaino district of Osaka. As a writer who has spent most of his life in Japan and writes in Japanese, Kim's work is considered abstruse even compared to other Japanese writers. Kim, who began publishing in Japanese in the early 1970s, made the decision to use Japanese to write about Korea and his struggle with his Zainichi identity. Thus, while written in Japanese, Kim's work is a far cry from the Japanese canon in both subject matter and style. Kim, too, refuses for his work to be considered as Japanese literature.

김삼현

Kim Sam-hyun is a South Korean children's literature writer and illustrator. She graduated from the Visual Design Department at Chonbuk National University and studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She primarily creates illus-trations for books aimed at children. Some of the books she has both written and illus-trated include "Hungry Dream" (2012), "Moon's Stroll" (2016), "Try Drawing Pictures" (2016), and "Ppumppa Ppumppa, Singing Cars" (2021).
