KLWAVE 2025 Update Notice

We have upgraded our platform to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. To ensure your visit is even more enjoyable and smooth, we have updated more than just the design. The major changes you will notice on KLWAVE are as follows:
1. The menu has been rearranged.
- - The many online programs and initiatives offered by LTI Korea to globalize Korean literature can now be found with one click under the “Programs” section. The details for various grants and support programs are now even more accessible.
- ① Books: Explore a wide range of content, including Korean literary works available for rights sales overseas, the latest updates on the Korean literary scene such as bestsellers and new releases, and curated collections organized by theme.
- ② Magazines: Read the issues of Korean Literature Now, a quarterly English-language magazine featuring author interviews, excerpts, and reviews by distinguished contributors.
- ③ Programs: Find and apply to a wide range of open calls and events offered by LTI Korea.
- ④Resources: Discover resources ranging from news on Korean literary events to audiobooks.
2. KLN is now part of KLWAVE, and its content has been expanded.
- - KLN (Korean Literature Now), an English webzine that captures contemporary trends and practices in Korean literature, has become part of the KLWAVE platform. Anyone can freely access the rich Korean literature content KLN has been showcasing.
- - We have newly added about 1,500 pieces of content featuring author interviews, excerpts, and reviews. These have been linked to existing author and translator profiles, and will continue to grow into an archiving platform that offers broader access to Korean literature.
3. The registration UI has been updated.
- - To make your first steps with KLWAVE smoother, we have introduced a new, interactive registration interface. The entire registration process is now more user-friendly, helping prevent accidental registration and providing easier access to our services.
- - Ever found it difficult to select a member type? Our new interface lets you clearly see the range of services available for each member type, making it simple to choose the one that fits your needs.
4. The online grant application process has been improved.
- - The application process has been reorganized for various grant and support programs, such as Translation and Publication Grants for Overseas Publishers, Copyright Export Support Program, International Exchange Grants, Translation Awards for Aspiring Translators, and K-Literature Fellowship.
- - Unlike the previous system, which required admin pre-approval to check eligibility or prevent duplicate accounts, the new post-approval system still maintains membership management while allowing you to apply for programs immediately, without waiting for approval.
5. New features have been added to enhance the overall user experience.
- - You can track all of your submitted applications and download them as a Word document from the Application Status page under the “Programs” section. We have also added a guide to help you understand what each status means.
