Description 작품 소개

Forty years ago, an army of skinless humanoid giants, called the mupeegwee, appeared on Black Widow Island. To protect the mainland from the monsters, the military destroyed all routes off the island, leaving its inhabitants for dead. But a small group of people managed to escape into an underwater tunnel and seal off the entrance. There, they built a small settlement named Web Town where they have been surviving ever since.

But life in the tunnel is far from easy. Electricity must be generated by racers on bikes, and, despite a small air vent that allows the town’s children to venture above land to collect rainwater and hunt for small game, food and water are always in low supply. Worse yet, the town is plagued by disease on the one hand, and a self-serving mayor on the other.

Then one day, a leak in the tunnel contaminates all the town’s drinking water. With few options left, the mayor sends sixteen-year-old Dahyung on an impossible mission to travel to the mainland by boat and open the tunnel from the other side. As her mission quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival, Dahyung is confronted by an increasingly disturbing series of revelations about the mupeegwee and the inherent evil lurking within humanity.

Bursting with action, vivid imagery, and plot twists, Tunnel 103 reads like a binge-worthy television show.
