Description 작품 소개

In this collection of short stories, author PARK Hyoung-Su’s characters mostly face violence. In Illimitable White Wall, so-called masters are desperate to take each other’s space. In Certain Silence, protagonist PARK Hyoung-Su as a young man is always either beaten or beating others. The writer-protagonist of Arpan steals someone’s work and the universe in Timaios collapses helplessly. Protagonist ‘I’ of Ghost in the Context wanders from place to place, not being able to fully accept or stand against the intangible order between the present reality of the world and fate. Violence in Krabi is even more interesting because of the author’s brilliant use of metaphor. Vacation spot Krabi has feelings for the tourist protagonist. Everytime he leaves Krabi, she throws tantrums, for example by worsening weather conditions. Krabi’s wickedness really starts to reveal itself when the protagonist brings his girlfriend. With this creative setting, he reminds readers of violence under the mask of love and affection, leaving them in shock but with their awareness raised.
