아주 조용히 때로는 보란 듯이, 차별에 항거하는 청소년들의 몸짓
청소년시집 『난 학교 밖 아이』로 관심의 사각지대에서 고군분투하는 ‘학교 밖 청소년’의 생생한 삶을 울림 있게 전한 김애란 시인이 이번에는 시야를 넓혀 소외되고 차별받는 청소년들의 이야기를 시집으로 담았다. 『보란 듯이 걸었다』는 편협한 사회의 울타리에서 튕겨 나간 십 대 여성, 노동자 청소년, 이른바 ‘정상 가족’ 밖에 있는 청소년들을 화자로 내세운다. 시인은 이들이 겪는 세상의 차가운 외면을 담담하게 그리면서도, 이들이 주눅 들지 않고 자신만의 방식으로 차별에 항거하며 살아가는 모습을 함께 보여 준다. 시에 녹여진 이들의 생생한 현재와 항거의 몸짓은 우리 사회가 그동안 얼마나 이들에게 무관심했는지 반성하게 한다. 이 시집은 ‘창비청소년시선’ 스물여섯 번째 권이다.
