시인 신이인이 매일매일 그러모은

3월의, 3월에 의한, 3월을 위한

단 한 권의 읽을거리


매일 한 편, 매달 한 권, 1년 365가지의 이야기. 난다의 ‘시의적절’ 시리즈 세번째 주자, 신이인 시인의 3월이다. 첫 시집 『검은 머리 짐승 사전』(민음사, 2023)에서 선보였던 “난동꾼”의 면모, 시시각각 무수한 표정으로 뛰노는 ‘짐승’의 얼굴들이 시인의 3월 일상에서도 짐짓 아무렇지 않게 펼쳐진다. 상큼, 발랄, 씩씩, 명랑…… 여러 형용사를 대어보건대, 더도 말고 딱 하나만 남기라 하면 ‘상쾌’ 아니겠나 할 그런 책. 겉치레 없지만 뒤끝도 없는 글, 내색만큼 속셈 역시 없는 글.


3월 1일부터 3월 31일까지, 서른한 편의 글을 담았다. 시, 에세이, 편지, 노트, 메모…… 다종다양 시인의 일상으로 매일을 맞이한다. 비록 조금은 초라한 나일지라도, 부단히 애쓰고 정성 다해 묶은 리본으로 건네는 선물 같은 글. 나는 나인 채로, 그러나 당신이 놀라지 않기를, 그런 조심의 진심을 전한다.

Shin Lee-in published her first poems in 2021 in the Hankook Ilbo. She is the author of the poetry collections The Dictionary of Black-Headed Beasts and I May Become an Alien, as well as the essay collection The Following Spring.
