열아홉 펜싱 소녀의 재앙 극복 프로젝트!


화상 흉터로 인한 열등감, 자신 때문에 아버지가 죽었다는 자괴감으로 스스로를 고립시킨 채 살고 있던 스무 살 산골 소녀 원나. 어느 날, 완전히 다른 형태의 “따돌림”과 외로움에 직면하여 자신을 찢고 세상으로 나오게 되는 성장담 성격의 소설이다. 스스로를 고립시켜 버린 주인공을 끄집어내기 위해 '좀비'라는 소재를 가져왔고, 소설의 세계에 좀비 바이러스가 퍼지지만 좀비가 전면화된 아포칼립스는 아니다. 여기서 좀비는 좀 더 적극적인 방식으로 주인공을 고립시켜 스스로 자기를 극복하고 나오게 하기 위한 장치. 좀비를 죽이고, 좀비와 싸우는 이야기가 아니라 좀비가 된 사람들을 지키기 위해 고군분투하는 이야기다.
