첨단의 감각, 김유림이 쌓아올리는 우리의 또 다른 세계

동시대 단연 돋보이는 세련된 어법으로 시를 능숙하게 구성한다는 평을 받으며 주목받아온 김유림의 세번째 시집 『별세계』가 창비시선으로 출간됐다. 시인은 2016년 현대시학 신인상을 통해 작품활동을 시작한 이후 두권의 시집과 소시집, 단편소설 등을 발표하며 자신만의 작품세계를 성실하고 활발히 넓혀왔다. 김유림은 이번 시집에서 그만의 능청스럽고 사랑스러운 어법으로 우리가 사는 세상을 전혀 다른 세상인 것처럼, 마치 ‘별세계’인 것처럼 흥미롭게 그려낸다. 독자는 시인이 ‘다시’ 써내는 세계의 모습을 좇으며 그 생경함에 놀라고, 순수함에 웃음 짓게 된다. 또한 일반적인 해설이나 발문 대신 소설가 박솔뫼가 시와 이어지는 짧은 소설 「문 열기」를 실어 시집을 읽는 재미를 더해주는 것은 물론 ‘별세계’의 건축물들을 보다 또렷하게, 동시에 더욱 신비롭게 보여준다.
