Ham Jeungim is a novelist and professor of Korean literature at Dong-A University in Busan. She made her literary debut by winning the Dong-A Daily New Writer’s Contest with the short story “Road to the Square.” She won the Yi Sang Literary Award for Excellence for her works “Plum,” “Archaeology of Memory,” and “After Dinner.” Her story collections include The Bus Passes By, After Dinner, and Nighttime Farewell.
