Description

Guerrilla Publishing Co., Ltd. (est. 2014) is a dynamic independent publisher in Taiwan. True to our name, we pride ourselves on being agile and proactive, serving as a vital platform that connects diverse voices with everyday readers. Our catalog of over 75 titles spans fiction and non-fiction, featuring translations from Korean, Japanese, German, and English.

Our core mission is "ideological emancipation." We specialize in the humanities and social sciences, focusing on critical topics such as marginalization, discrimination, and social exclusion. We champion prominent Taiwanese researchers and journalists while simultaneously introducing international classics to the local market.

Despite our lean structure, Guerrilla has achieved significant recognition, winning major literary and publishing awards in Taiwan. We are also active in the global rights market, with our titles successfully licensed into eight languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Polish, Spanish, and Russian.

Guerrilla Publishing has a proven track record of producing bestsellers that spark social dialogue. Our iconic title, Fang Si-Chi’s First Love Paradise (2017) by Lin Yi-Han, sold over 2 million copies globally, making a profound impact on the #MeToo movement in Asia.

We specialize in uncovering marginalized voices and gender issues. Our recent hit, First Daughter Syndrome (2025), sold over 10,000 copies within its first year, with rights already sold to Korea and Vietnam. Similarly, Teahouse Ladies (2023), an ethnography of Taipei's red-light district, has sold over 7,000 copies, with its Korean edition published by Nuhang.

In terms of translated works, our traditional Chinese edition of The Ethical Slut (2019) has sold over 12,000 copies, demonstrating our capacity to successfully market niche topics in the humanities and social sciences.
