Description
MONO is an independent publishing house based in Switzerland, with active operations and partnerships across the UAE, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East. The house operates without political or religious affiliation and is committed to long-term cultural and literary exchange.
Although newly incorporated, MONO is led by a team with over twelve years of professional experience in international publishing, foreign rights acquisition, translation, and multilingual book production. The publishing programme focuses on French and German editions, with a strong interest in literary fiction, poetry, graphic novels, illustrated works, and socially engaged publications.
MONO works closely with authors, artists, translators, and international rights holders, placing great importance on editorial care, thoughtful design, and respectful cross-cultural adaptation. Particular attention is given to voices from Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and to works that explore history, memory, identity, and contemporary social realities.
Distribution of MONO’s French-language titles covers Europe and Canada (Québec) through established partners and online platforms. In parallel, Arabic-language publications are developed for international circulation across multiple regions, reflecting the diverse and transnational nature of Arabic readerships.
In addition to its core publishing activity, MONO is actively engaged in international rights licensing, co-editions, and long-term partnerships with publishers and literary agencies worldwide. The house is currently building its catalogue, with its first titles scheduled for publication in Summer 2026.
