Pak Seowon (1968~2012) was a South Korean poet. She made her literary debut in 1989 by publishing “Hakdaejeung” (학대증 Tyrannism) and seven other poems in the magazine Literary Spirit. Pak made continuous efforts to embody in her poetry the lives and voices of concealed, neglected and excluded women. Lee Sunyoung is a South Korean novelist. She made her literary debut in 2010 when her work Cheon nyeonui chimmuk (천 년의 침묵 A Thousand Years of Silence), set in ancient Greece, won the Korea New Wave Literature Award. Kim Myung-Wha (1966~) is a South Korean playwright, who debuted 1997 when her play “Saedeureun hoengdanbodoro geonneoji anneunda” (새들은 횡단보도로 건너지 않는다 Birds Don’t Cross at Crosswalks) won the Samsung Literary and Drama Award. In 2002 she won the Dong-A Theater Award for Best Picture and the Daesan Literary Award for Drama. Song Eon (1956~) is a South Korean novelist. He made his literary debut 1982 when his short story “Geu yeoreumui chosang” (그 여름의 초상 That Summer’s Portrait) won the JoongAng New Writer’s Award. An Doseop (1933~) is a South Korean poet. He made his literary debut in 1958 when his poems “Bulmoji” (불모지 Wasteland) and “Haedanghwa” (해당화 Sweetbrier) won the Chosun Ilbo New Writer’s Contest and the Pyunghwa Shinmun New Writer’s Contest respectively. He has written poems set against the backdrop of Korean history, including an epic poem about the Donghak Peasants` War. He has received the Heo Gyun Literary Award and the Seol Song Literary Award. •Poetry collection Saeya, nokdusaeya (새야, 녹두새야) (2002)
