Cho is the author of the collection of critical essays, Misery in a Godless World. He writes extensively on fiction and film. He is a member of the editorial board on the quarterly Munhakdeul and serves as assistant professor in the Division of Korean Language, Literature, and Creative Writing at Dongguk University.
