Jack Saebyok Jung
Jack Saebyok Jung is a 2024 National Endowment for the Arts Translation Fellow and the author of Hocus Pocus Bogus Locus (Black Square Editions, 2025). A Truman Capote Fellow at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, he co-translated Yi Sang: Selected Works (Wave Books, 2020), winner of the MLA’s Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for a Translation of a Literary Work. His next book of translation, Kim Hyesoon’s Lady No, will be published by Ecco in 2026. He teaches at Davidson College.

Kalau Almony is a Japanese-English literary translator based in Kawasaki, Japan. His translations include the works of Fuminori Nakamura, Tahi Saihate, Shinya Tanaka, Noboru Tsujihara, and Jose Ando. He is a 2025 National Endowment for the Arts Translation Fellow.

Kim Yudam
Kim Yudam is a fiction writer who began her literary career in 2016 after winning the Seoul Shinmun New Writer’s Contest. Her works include the short story collections Tambourine and The Caring Heart, the novella Space M, and the novels The Relaxed Pose and No Curtain Call, Please. She has received the Shin Dong-yup Literary Award and the Kim Yu-jeong Literary Award.

Lee Jenny
Lee Jenny has authored the poetry collections Pirowa Padowa (tr. Archana Madhavan, Saturnalia Books, 2025), Because We Don’t Know Ourselves, And Thus They Were Scrawled, Non-Existent Lines Are Beautiful, Forever Looking Back at the Future, and the prose collection Dawn and Music. She won the 2011 Pyeon-un Literature Award, the 2016 Kim Hyeon Prize, and the 2022 Hyundae Munhak Literary Award.

Min Ji Choi is a fledgling translator between Korean and English. She is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at Harvard University. She took part in the 2025 ALTA Emerging Translators Mentorship Program with the project Transvestite Shikoku by Hwang Byeongseung.

Peace Pyunghwa Lee
Peace Pyunghwa Lee (she/they) translates Korean literature into English. Her work focuses on fiction, nonfiction, and testimonial writing that engages with history, trauma, and the politics of memory. She has received support from the Daesan Foundation and is a recipient of the 2025 Kevin O’Rourke Prize. She is currently translating works by Hyun Ki-young.
