Jasmine Jeemin Lee is a freelance translator and interpreter based in Seoul. Born in Texas, she grew up moving back and forth between Korea and the U.S. She graduated from Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation and has translated works across a variety of genres: books, plays, Korean films and webtoons, as well as interview articles. She is the winner of the 2019 Korea Times Modern Literature Translation Award, and has received multiple LTI Korea translation grants. Her published translations include Liz Rosenberg's House of Dreams: The Life of L. M. Montgomery and the short story “The School for Wives” in Azalea: Journal of Korean Literature & Culture, Vol. 17, published by the Korea Institute at Harvard University. She also writes essays inspired by her experiences as a translator.
