This collection introduces the short stories shortlisted for the Hwang Sun-won Literary Award in 2016, with the title story, “A Walk Along Seolleung” by Jung Yong-jun, as the Best Story winner,. The other stories in the collection are “Old Kim Sukhui” by Lee Kiho, “You Have No Idea” by Kwon Yeo-sun, and “How a Cat Trains Itself” by Kim Keum Hee. “A Walk Along Seolleung” questions what it is to be human through the story of the main character going on a walk with an autistic boy. Each story in the collection provides a unique insight into the literary themes and concerns of 2016.
