This is a novel by Yi Mun-yol, published in 1991. It presents the life and poetry of Kim Sat-gat like a biography, and takes on the atmosphere of a classic Korean novel. This novel provides a fresh interpretation of Kim Sat-gat's life in relation to the political situation of the time by appropriately mixing folktales, historical records, and fictional imagination.
