Description 작품 소개
In this collection of short stories, human beings are like frogs who jump from an apartment building in a city with an epidemic disease spreading, and they are no different from lab rats dying from protein deficiency. Lying alone in a room swarming with maggots in a remote bungalow, not being able to tell the difference between life and death anymore, a man is rotting, keeping his belief in a monster. Can we really call someone in a state like that a human being? In a scene of devastation, which is not connected to either the reality at present or the prospect of the future, the world is vague as if it were shrouded in mist and the characters are magnified by description of their grotesque behavior. In the stories beginning from a case of a mysterious disappearance or a discovery of an unidentified corpse, peaceful daily routine is disturbed and the horrible and absurd world is revealed. By breaking the boundary between life and death, what the author really wanted to say is probably that those disqualified people still exist somewhere, going on with their lives and that there is still life behind the world we are familiar with.
