Description 작품 소개

This novel by Yi Chong-Jun was published in 1996 and also adapted into a film that year. The novel is based on the funeral of the author’s own mother, who died in 1994 at the age of 87. According to the author, the story is almost entirely consistent with what actually happened, with even the characters (save for a few exceptions) being named after real people. The author shows how a family funeral can also be a festival celebrating a stage of life, rather than simply a sorrowful occasion.
