Description 작품 소개

Bada and San, a couple in their thirties, are having difficulty conceiving a baby. Tired of not succeeding and of hearing all kinds of comments, they decide to undergo in vitro fertilization treatment. South Korean society, which still retains strong traditional traits, will unreservedly impose its expectations on the young aspiring parents... even when things don't go well.

Through this story, Keum Suk Gendry-Kim tells us the drama that many couples go through: the physical and psychological challenges they face, the biased opinions of family and friends depending on whether they are talking about the future mother or the future father, the lack of empathy from the medical community... Tomorrow will be another day is an intimate tragedy, inspired by the author's personal experience, but one that will connect readers on both continents.

Critics have said:

“The Korean author opens up in an intimate book that [...] transcends borders and eras to remind us that the oppression of women has been and is universal.”Álvaro Pons, Babelia

“An uncomfortable truth through comics: Gendry-Kim has the virtue of opening our eyes”.Víctor Fernández, La Razón

“A 21st century fable that speaks of compassion and trust with its dark and thick stroke”.Elena Méndez, La Voz de Galicia

“A heartbreaking story [that] the author brilliantly manages the passage of time and the pace of reading. [...] Gendry-Kim shows a universal and timeless situation, and she does it from everyday life and intimacy”.Jordi Ojeda, Catalunya Plural

“The Korean author [...] with her usual delicacy flees from melodrama, getting her message to strip it of any makeup and allow it to peel back that curtain of invisibility imposed on an obvious reality: that of a society that attributes its destiny to women”.Álvaro Pons and Noelia Ibarra, Levante

“Intimate and delicate. [...] A very interesting work that deals with great sensitivity with a subject that is far from simple”.Navarra Newspaper

“The play tells us about how to make decisions, not only the decision to be a mother, the choice of whether to follow what is established, to be dragged by what society expects of you, the choice of how to treat even your body, what to sacrifice or not, to follow or not what your parents say.... [...] She is a tremendous author”.Javier Alonso, El ojo crítico (Radio 3)

“Magnificent drawing and overwhelming sensitivity”.Javier Alonso, Territorio 9 (RNE)

“Once again the fabulous art of Keum Suk Gendry-Kim stands out, who with ink and watercolor achieves powerful images with a loose and vigorous stroke”.

Laura G. Torres, El cómic en RTVE

“Devastating. An incredibly hard book, all the more meritorious for having autobiographical components [...]. The richness of the sensations it awakens is priceless and shows that there is a very intense emotional work”.Comic for everyone
