These works are set against the backdrop of the 2014 Sewol Ferry disaster and the 2016-17 Candlelight Revolution, both periods of significant social upheaval, and they explore the new meaning of 'revolution' within the context of individual daily life. The deep reflections on life and death, love, and human existence are intertwined with beautifully crafted sentences that resonate deeply, ultimately delivering a powerful and overwhelming sense of emotion in this remarkable new release.

Author Bio 작가 소개

Hwang Jungeun debuted in 2005 with “Mother,” which won the Kyunghyang Shinmun New Writer’s Award. She has authored the novels One Hundred Shadows, Savage Alice, and I’ll Go On, the short story collections Into the World of Passi, The Seven Thirty- Two Elephant Train, and Being Nobody. This year, she published the serial novel dd’s Umbrella. Her books in translation include One Hundred Shadows (Tilted Axis, 2016), I’ll Go On (Tilted Axis, 2018), and “Kong’s Garden” (Strangers Press, 2019).
