“Crescent Moon” intertwines the narratives of a man who served his time for killing a high school bully, and the mother of the murder victim who obsessively chases after him to argue that her son never bullied him.

He knows that the mother will eventually murder him. However, instead of looking to secure his own life, he prioritizes in taking actions that will save her from becoming a murderer.

Through it all, the author explores the element of time and how humans only have a limited relationship with it due to the linear interactions. Through the vivid voices, the author weaves together a touching, non-linear story about time, memory, atonement, and other essence that make up life.
