Description 작품 소개
Currently unemployed Min-yong, a student who is postponing graduation to study for a national exam Yeon-hoo, and part-timer working two jobs Jerker moves into a run-down apartment located in the wealthy Gangnam district, the Aurora Apartment. All this started when Min-yong was kicked out from his dorm room for secretly keeping Euro the street cat. While trying to help Min-yong look for a place to live, Yeon-hoo finds out that Aurora Apartment where he used to live as a child is facing redevelopment. With most people moving out before the construction starts, the rent is relatively low. The two concludes that if they can find a housemate to share the rent, the place is not a bad choice at all, and Jerker, a part-timer and student on a temporary leave from school to earn tuition, overhears their plan and decides to join them.
After moving in, Min-yong looks around the mostly deserted apartment complex, and notices the only one store that has its lights on. At the corner store named Aurora, Min-yong meets the strange store owner and Ian, a middle-aged man who ran away from home after retirement, unsure of what he wants to do with his life. From then on, the three gather at the corner store and drink beer regularly. They do not pay too much attention to each other, or ask anything uncomfortable. Just like that, Min-yong gets more comfortable with the two, and Ian decides to join as a housemate as well. The four housemates seem to get along well at first, but as they get closer to each other, their relationship leads to an unexpected direction.
Yeon-hoo, who grew up in a relatively wealthy environment does not understand Jerker who is always calculating and worried about spending money. Moreover, Ian’s advice to Yeon-hoo to study harder hits a nerve and Yeon-hoo reacts harshly calling Ian a “ggondae”. Min-yong is not in a great situation either. He is having difficulties finding a job and with money running out, Euro is growing bigger day by day. House share seemed like a perfect idea, but will they be able to find a solution to overcome the generational and class differences? Will the four be able to find and achieve their dreams and hopes?
