Author Bio 작가 소개
Gim Jeongbin (1953- ) is a South Korean novelist. He began his literary career by publishing a children’s story in The Chosun Ilbo in 1981. In 1982, he released his first children’s book, Gibbeumeuro bitnaneun namu (기쁨으로 빛나는 나무 The Tree that Shines with Joy), which was selected as an Excellent Book by the Korean Ministry of Culture. Published in 1982, his first full length novel titled Dan (단 Red), became a bestseller. He devoted himself to Buddhism in 1985, and began writing on themes of religion and philosophy among other genres.
