Choi Ji-un is a writer. Born in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province in 1979, he made his literary debut in 2012 when his novel Oksu-dong Tigers won The Korea Economic Daily New Writer's Contest. Oksu-dong Tigers is his first novel.

Choi Jeonghwa received the 2012 Changbi Prize for New Figures in Literature for her short story “Palm Beach.” She also won the 2016 Munhakdongne Young Writers’ Award. Kim Junsik is a South Korean novelist born in Yeongi County, South Chungcheong Province, in 1959. He is the author of ten novels including Saranghaneun dangsinege (사랑하는 당신에게 To My Beloved), Biikjo (비익조 Birds That Fly Together), Soeunssiwa chorokbit jajeongeo (소은씨와 초록빛 자전거 Soeun and the Green Bicycle), and Yaksok (약속 Promise). His historical novel Baramgwa chowonui ttal (바람과 초원의 딸 Daughter of the Winds and the Plains) was published in 2014. The title is a reference to Empress Ki, who rose from the status of a lowly tribute to the empress of Yuan. Enthralled by the empress's dramatic life and rise to power, Kim spent six years on research before finishing the novel.

박규원
Park Kyuwon (1954-) is a South Korean novelist who in 2003 published a dramatic documentary novel about the life of Kim Yeom, who was an actor in the Chinese film community, titled Sanghai oldeu deiseu (상하이 올드 데이스 Shanghai Old Days).
