Park Chan-soon

"Park Chan-soon was born in 1946 in Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.
Park Chan-soon made her literary debut in the Chosun Ilbo (daily newspaper) Spring Literary Contest in 2006, after working as a film translator for thirty years. Her first collection of short stories, The Garden of Balhae, was published in 2009 by Moonji Publishing Company. Her second collection, Ladybugs Fly from the Top, was published by Moonji Publishing Company in 2013.
In 2011, Park participated in the fall residency of the IWP (International Writing Program of the University of Iowa), sponsored by the Korean Arts Council. In 2014, She won the 4th Literary Award given by the Association of Korean Novelists.
