Author Bio 작가 소개
An Doseop (1933~) is a South Korean poet. He made his literary debut in 1958 when his poems “Bulmoji” (불모지 Wasteland) and “Haedanghwa” (해당화 Sweetbrier) won the Chosun Ilbo New Writer’s Contest and the Pyunghwa Shinmun New Writer’s Contest respectively. He has written poems set against the backdrop of Korean history, including an epic poem about the Donghak Peasants` War. He has received the Heo Gyun Literary Award and the Seol Song Literary Award.
