Yoo Juhyun (1921 – 1982) is a South Korean novelist. He is known to be a prolific writer, having written 26 full-length novels and over 100 novellas and short stories.[1] His early works were mostly devoted to social issues, but the majority of his works since the 1960s are historical novels. Unlike conventional historical novels that focus on entertainment, his novels feature profound historical perspectives.[2] His representative work Joseonchongdokbu (조선총독부 Joseon Government-General) (1964–1967) has received critical attention for its realistic depiction of the Korean people’s sufferings during the 36 years of Japanese colonial rule.
Lee Sang-Kwen
이상권
Lee Sang-Kweon (1962-) is a South Korean novelist who debuted through the Changbi Quarterly in 1994 with the short story Nunmul han beon ssitgo sesangeul boni (눈물 한 번 씻고 세상을 보니 When I Wiped My Tears and Looked at the World). Han Jisu debuted with "Angel and Demon(tentative name)" and won the Literature & Thought Newcomer Literary Award, and also published the short story collection "Midnight Wedding(tentative name)."
Pak Yon-Hee
박연희
Pahk Yon-Hee (1918-2008) is a Korean author. Though his early works focus on themes of futility and decadence, his works after the Korean War demonstrate a marked shift towards denouncing the irrationality of society and encompassing historical novels as well. His representative works include the 1956 short story “Jeungin” (증인 Witness), the 1958 novel Geu yeojaui yeonin (그 여자의 연인 The Man She Loved), and the 1975 novel Hong Gildong (홍길동 Hong Gildong).
