She was born in Seoul in 1978 and graduated from the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Department of Creative Writing. She received the 31st Writer of the Day Award in 2007. As the head of the literary organization Agency Novel, she introduces Korean literature overseas and organizes international literary exchange projects and literary events.
