Sohn Jang-Soon (1935-2014) was a South Korean novelist who debuted through Hyundae Munhak in 1958 with “Ipsang” (입상 Standing) and “Jeonsin” (전신 “Moving”). Rju Ungjon (1971-) is a South Korean novelist. She began her literary career when she won the Writer’s World New Writer’s Award in 1998 and the Dong-A Ilbo Spring Literary Contest in 2005. She writes novels that provide a modern interpretation of the Korean history, including the history of a dynasty and the biography of a queen.
