Description 작품 소개

This is the second book in the [Destructive Poems] series, which comprises 100 poems grouped under the title "Destructive Poems on Enlightenment." Each poem contains a footnote that targets two birds: savoring and contemplation, aiming to inspire readers once again. The book explores various topics related to the enlightenment, including:

Anatta and Sunyata, similarity between enlightenment and death, true identity, monism, Karmic annihilation, Atman, Brahman, Hindu enlightenment, breath, observer effect, dependent origination, criticality, sudden enlightenment, relationship with God, the perfection, the seat of the enlightenment, importance of what’s invisible, meaning of enlightenment, cosmic self, self-annihilation, distinction between self and non-self, before and after the enlightenment, the two inside of me, the changing and the unchanging, non-possession, ideals, love of ghost, nirvana, two different worlds, humans, etc.

[Representative Poems]

No more songs of dependent origination

With the capacity to transcend

Those who ignore the principle of causality

The most formidable of all the laws

Cutting themselves off from the causes

Discarding the effects of their deeds

Receiving no influence at all

Consequences as a cause

Causes as a consequence

Free from all the Cs

They free themselves from the law of dependent origination

No vessels for karma

Nowhere for deeds or traces

Leaves that became a tree

The thing that cannot be seen, the thing that cannot be felt with five senses

Yet it is too small, as it resides within me

The thing subtle, obscure, and the most delicate

Performs the grandest task

The biggest task of connecting and merging into one

To dissolve everything into a tree, uniting all the leaves

A universe full of me

I discover myself

In unexpected venues

Not confined to just one or two places

Why am I over there?

Perhaps they are not me

There's no corner I haven’t permeated

I exist in every corner of the world

However hard I try to get this illusion out of my head, I can’t

For it is the only way to acquire the world

For it is the only way to become the universe

.

Song of fullness

There is a floor to lie down on; you even need a roof?

There is a path to walk; you even need shoes?

You possess a soul; you even need a mate?

There is a god; you even need a religion?

There is a tree; you even need leaves?

There is a process; you even need a result?

There is atman; you even need the self?

There is the cosmos; you even need a life?.

I'm in first place

Pushing everything else aside

I carefully scan my surroundings

To find if any

First place!

I found it!

I found poop!

It took me a long time to locate the poop as it is not mine

I shall clean it to commemorate this triumph

What if the second place? It's not yet tidied

By purging it, I shall claim the honor of being the first
