Do Myunghak (1965-) is a North Korean novelist. He defected to South Korea from North Korea and began his literary career by publishing his work in the monthly magazine Hanguk Soseol. He is considered to have broadened an area of the “literature of the division of the Korean Peninsula” by realistically fictionalizing life in North Korea in various aspects. Short story collection Janhokhan seonmul (잔혹한 선물 A Cruel Gift) (2018)
