Author Bio 작가 소개
Lee Gilyoong (1939-) is a South Korean novelist and playwright who debuted with the novel Jongchangnyeogui pyosangin (종착역의 표상인 The Ticket Seller at the End of the Line) in 1990, and then made a second debut as a playwright through Monthly Literature magazine with Eojjeogo harabeoji (어쩌고 할아버지 Old Man Eojjeogo). Lee previously served as the chief of the Ministry of Culture’s Bureau of Art Promotion, and was awarded the Korea Stage Play Literature Prize in 1994 and the Grand Artist Prize in 1998.
