Kim Geun (1973- ) is a South Korean poet. He debuted in 1998 when five poems including “February” won the Munhakdongne New Writer’s Award.
1. Life
Kim Keun was born in Gochang, Jeollabuk-do in 1973. He holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Chung-Ang University. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Creative Writing at Chung-Ang University and is an editor at the quarterly ASIA.
2. Writing
He debuted in 1998 when five poems including “February” won the Munhakdongne New Writer’s Award. He is the author of three books of poetry, Snake Boy, Meeting at Cloud Theatre, While You Wash Yourself in Darkness, and an co-authored anthology of plays, Great Legacy.
