Yun Kubyong (1943-) is a South Korean children’s writer who served as the first editor-in-chief of Deep-Rooted Tree in 1974, and as a professor of philosophy who planned children’s books. Kim Yu-Jeong
김유정
Kim Yu-Jeong (1908 ~ 1937) was a Korean novelist. He made his literary debut with the publication of Wanderer Among the Hills” in 1933. Kim's work was described as rich and earthy. He wrote approximately 30 short stories, most of which were published in the three years before his death. His 1936 story The Camellias is about the residents of a Korean farming village; its implicit sexuality was more explicit in his 1935 Rain shower. His 1937 story The scorching heat was considered gloomy. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis on March 29, 1937.

Park Chong-hwa (1901-1981) was an early-modern Korean poet and novelist.
Son So-Hui
손소희
Son So-Hui (1917-1986) was a South Korean novelist. She graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in 1961 as an English major. She made her debut publishing poems including “Godok” (고독 Solitude) and “Bukgeugui Gaeul” (북극의 가을 The Arctic Autumn) in 1939 when she was a journalist of the Manseon Ilbo. Returning to Korea after Korean Independence in 1945, Son started her literary career publishing “Donggyeong” (동경 Admiration) in the Sinsedae. In 1949, she led publication of the Hyeseong as the chief editor. She mainly covered romance and ethnic awareness under Japanese Imperialism in her works, deepening the theme of women’s suffering through description of female psychology.
