김병연
김삿갓(1807~1863)은 조선후기의 시인이다. 김삿갓은 김병연의 별칭이다. 김병연은 20살부터 전국을 떠돌면서 즉흥시를 남겼다. 권력을 조롱하고 풍자하는 시가 많아 `민중시인`으로 불리기도 한다. 김병연이 남긴 작품은 1939년 이응수가 으로 묶어 출판했다.

Chung Il Keun (1958~) is a South Korean poet. He made his literary debut in 1984 by publishing his poems in the magazine Literature and Practice. In 1985, he won the Hankook Ilbo New Writer’s Contest. His poetry deals with the pain and loss of marginalized people. Kim Hyunseung (1913–1975) made his literary debut in 1934 when his poem, “The Lonesome Winter Evening Comes, and You,” was carried in the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper. He stopped writing toward the end of the colonial period and only started writing again after independence. His notable works include Selected Poems of Kim Hyunseung, Robust Loneliness, Commentary on Contemporary Poetry, and Survey of World Literary History.
