Description 작품 소개

This novel by Hwang Sok-yong was published in 2003. A modern reinterpretation of the familiar folktale “The Tale of Shim Cheong,” the novel expands on the story, providing a fuller account of the main character’s difficult life. The author depicts a woman whose fate as Shim Cheong – despite being known by different names in Joseon, China, Singapore, and Japan – means that her life is unchanging, even with the passing of time.

Author Bio 작가 소개
