Description 작품 소개

“No matter how much stone dust flew and settled on them, the people didn’t turn gray”

A short yet powerful plot that defies prediction, fueled by limitless creativity that transcends genres

A profound lie that stirs our imaginative minds

In 2017, novelist Kim Dongsik made his debut with The Gray Human, a work discovered and championed by readers. His commemorative 100th edition comes with a supplement featuring a collection of fifty congratulatory letters from readers, in celebration of the novel’s success.

This novel which includes the title work “The Gray Human” along with other reader favorites, explores a range of thought-provoking themes. “Outing” examines the differences between artificial humans and real humans, and the origins of discrimination. “The Rich Old Man on the Uninhabited Island” questions whether society is truly sustained by capital, while “The Girl and the Boy, Who Should I Choose?” challenges readers to reflect on their criteria for making critical choices that impact others. The twenty-four stories in this book offer a powerful portrayal of society’s irrationalities, human cruelty, and the anguish of confronting ethical dilemmas, shocking readers and sparking intense debates and discussions.
