Moon Bo Young (1992-) is a South Korean poet. She debuted in 2016 when her work was published in JoongAng Ilbo. In 2017, she won the Kim Soo-young Literary Award with her poetry collection Chaekgidung (책기둥 Pillar of Books). Gim Si-jong (1929-) is a South Korean poet. He began to write poetry in Japanese in 1950. Having experienced the tragedy of modern history with his whole body, he has been working fiercely against the fate of being a Zainichi Korean. Shin Jaehyo (1812-1884) is a pansori theorist and writer from the Joseon Dynasty. He was a chungin (upper middle class) in the Joseon Dynasty but was later granted the status of yangban for his contribution to the country. He gathered pansori experts from each region and appreciated the art with other yangban, even educating people on pansori. Park Yong-Ki (1963-) is a South Korean children’s writer. He made his literary debut when his short story was published in Literature Today. Jeong Geukin (1401-1481) is a writer from the Joseon Dynasty. In 1472, he was conferred the position of an official of the third rank without office for having taught the children of local officials, and he was so touched that he wrote “Buruheonga” (불우헌가(不憂軒歌) Song of Buruheon) and “Buruheongok” (불우헌곡(不憂軒曲) Music of Buruheon). He is known to have lived a life of integrity and simplicity. Rju Ungjon (1971-) is a South Korean novelist. She began her literary career when she won the Writer’s World New Writer’s Award in 1998 and the Dong-A Ilbo Spring Literary Contest in 2005. Bae Yoo-an (1957-) is a South Korean children’s writer.
