Kong Jihui is a South Korean children’s writer who debuted in 2001 through Daehan Maeil in 2001 with the short story “Darakbang chingu” (다락방 친구 My Attic Friend). In 2003, Kong won the Gold Goblin Award for Yeongmoga sarajeotda (영모가 사라졌다 Yeongmo has Vanished), and in 2014, Kong was awarded the fourth Jamo Books YA Literature Prize (자음과모음 청소년문학상) for the YA novel Toktoktok (톡톡톡 Tap Tap Tap).
