Kwon Bee-Young is a South Korean novelist. She made her literary debut in 1995 by winning the Shilla Literary Award, and published her first short story collection Geu gyeourui uhwa (그 겨울의 우화 That’s Winter’s Fable) in 2005. Upon its publication in 2009, Kwon’s novel Deokyeongju (덕혜옹주 Princess Deokhye) became a bestseller, and was later made into a film under the title The Last Princess (2016).
