Author Bio 작가 소개
Lee Chong-Kil is a South Korean novelist who studied German literature and philosophy in Germany, and is currently a postsecondary instructor of German literature in Korea. Lee has published novels such as Gieogui bada (기억의 바다 Sea of Memories), which deals with the trials and tribulations faced by Korean nurses who went to work in Germany, and Moeulbi saramdeul (모을비 사람들 The Moeulbi People), which concerns villages in the civilian control zone on the 38th parallel between North and South Korea. Lee was awarded the Hyun Jin-geon Literary Prize (현진건문학상) in 1990.
