Kim Youngdoo is a South Korean novelist. She firstly debuted as a novelist in 1988 through the magazine Monthly Literature, and then as a children’s writer in 1990 by winning the JoongAng New Writer’s Award. Kim’s works deal with a variety of subjects, such as the search for personal identity, and pay attention to the voices of women suffering through the times.
