Kwak Jae-gu (born 1954) is a South Korean modern poet.

Kim Sa-in is a professor of creative writing at Dongduk Women’s University. He was a visiting professor at Harvard University’s Korean Institute, and participated in the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa in 2010. He has received the Daesan Literary Award, Hyundae Literary Award, and Sin Dong-Yup Grant for Writing. His poetry was featured in the 2015 fall issue of Mānoa.

Jeong Hui Seong (Hangul 정희성; born 1945) is a South Korean poet and teacher. Born in Changwon, South Korea, he graduated Yongsan High School and studied Korean language and literature at Seoul National University. Since 1970, he has taught Korean literature to high school students. As a poet, he has not been highly prolific since his debut five decades ago, having only six poetry collections to his name. He is one of the most prominent poets to be associated with the Participation literary movement (also known as the Resistance movement) of the 1970s and 80s in South Korea. In 2006, he served as the 16th Chairman of the Writers Association of Korea.

Kim Hyesoon(b. 1955) is one of the most prominent and influential contemporary poets of South Korea. She was the first woman poet to receive the prestigious Kim Su-yong and Midang awards, and her works have been translated into English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Swedish. Kim lives in Seoul and teaches creative writing at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Kim, along with her long-time translator, Don Mee Choi, recently received the International Griffin Poetry Prize, Canada’s most prestigious poetry award, for Autobiography of Death (New Directions, 2019).

You Hee-kyoung is a poet and playwright. He debuted in 2008 by winning the Chosun Ilbo’s New Writer’s Contest. He is the author of the books of poems This Morning’s Word, Your Place: How to Grow into a Tree, We had a God Briefly, and Next Spring We Will, and the essay compilations Words in a Sparkling Night and At Least One Somewhere in the World. He has received the Gosan New Writer’s Award and the Hyundae Munhak Literary Award. He is a playwright with the theatre company Dok and is a member of the poetry collective Jakran. He runs the poetry bookstore Wit ’n Cynical.
