Lee Seung-U (born 1959) is a South Korean writer. In the history of Korean novels, Christianity, along with the train, represents modernity.

Ahn Junghyo (1941~2023) was a novelist and translator whose works document the scars left on human beings by the violence of state-made wars, such as the Korean and Vietnam wars, and ask the meaning of human life and death through the images of disintegrating rural areas and poor rural people.

Kim Hongshin (1947~) is a South Korean novelist. He made his literary debut in 1976w with the publication of “Bonjeondaek” (본전댁) in Hyundae Munhak. Published from 1981 to 1989, Ingansijang (인간시장 Human Market) enjoyed widespread popularity for the way it highlighted the harsh lives of the petit bourgeois as well as the contradictions and corruptions of modern society. Kim Sunmi was born in Seoul and earned her master’s degree from the Graduate School of Cultural Arts at Dongguk University. She began her literary career in 2019, winning the Excellence Award at the 3rd Choomis Novel Contest with her work 『To the Killer』. In 2022, she received the Excellence Award in the Story category at the Korea Content Awards and the Grand Prize at the 1st Search-Light Contest. She also won the Youth Grand Prize at the 1st Wisdom House Children’s and Youth Fantasy Literature Awards for her work 『Biscuit』.
