Nam Jung-hyun (1933-2020) was a South Korean writer.

Kim Siseup, one of the Six Surviving Ministers (生六臣 sangyuksin) from the early Joseon period (朝鮮 1392-1910), contemplated back and forth the merits Three Teachings (儒佛道 shortened form for referring to Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism together) and left behind many excellent works. A representative author of early-Joseon Outsider literature (外邦人 文學 oebangin munhak), he not only wrote the best jeongi soseol (傳奇小說 fiction of remarkable things) in Hanmun (漢文Chinese characters) Geumo Sinhwa (金鰲新話 New Stories from Gold Turtle Mountain), but also left behind outstanding Hansi (漢詩 Chinese character poetry). His posthumous anthology Maewoldangjip (梅月堂集 Collection of Maewoldang) in 23 chapters of 6 volumes is currently being passed down.

Park Miyeon finds joy in envisioning moments beyond time and spaces outside the here and now. She endeavors to capture the essence of “present” within stories that transcend the constraints of time and space. Among her recent works are the young adult novel DMZ Cheonsaui Byeol (DMZ the Star of Angel) [2 volumes] and SF novels Sigan Goyangi: Dongmuli Sarajin Segye (Cat of Time: A World Where Animals Are Disappeared) and Sigan Goyangi 2: Sarinnabiui Seupgyeok (Cat of Time 2: Attack of the Murder Butterfly). She has contributed a short story about metaverse titled Logout to a science magazine OYLA and another short story Lucky Boy featured in Pyeonghwaga Onda (Peace Will Come) a novel commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. She is currently planning and writing fairy tales and young adult fiction at JY Storytelling Academy.

Lee Eung Jun (Hangul 이응준; born 1970) is a South Korean writer. He debuted as a poet in 1990 when the quarterly journal Literature & Criticism published his poem “Kkaedareumeun gapjagi chajaonda” (깨달음은 갑자기 찾아온다 Epiphanies Come Without Warning). In 1994 his short story “Geuneun chueogui sokdoro georeogatda” (그는 추억의 속도로 걸아갔다 He Walked at the Speed of Memory) appeared in the journal Imagination, marking the beginning of his career as a novelist. He has been noted for his portrayal of South Korean youths living through the 1990s. His characters tend to perceive pain over pleasure, sadness over joy, and solitude over companionship. Lee also writes screenplays and directs his own work. His cinematic flair is reflected in his novels. In June 2015, Lee wrote an article entitled “Usangui eodum, munhagui tarak” (우상의 어둠, 문학의 타락 The Dark Side of an Idol and the Corruption of Literature) accusing the novelist Shin Kyung-sook of plagiarizing Yukio Mishima. The article caused an uproar in South Korean literary circles and sparked a debate on literary plagiarism.

Lee Chong-Kil is a South Korean novelist who studied German literature and philosophy in Germany, and is currently a postsecondary instructor of German literature in Korea. Lee has published novels such as Gieogui bada (기억의 바다 Sea of Memories), which deals with the trials and tribulations faced by Korean nurses who went to work in Germany, and Moeulbi saramdeul (모을비 사람들 The Moeulbi People), which concerns villages in the civilian control zone on the 38th parallel between North and South Korea.
