Yun Kubyong (1943-) is a South Korean children’s writer who served as the first editor-in-chief of Deep-Rooted Tree in 1974, and as a professor of philosophy who planned children’s books. Lee Mun Ku
이문구
Lee Mun Ku (1941—2003) is a South Korean writer. He is famous for his unparalleled writing style which actively uses the disappearing vernacular language of Chungcheong Province. His most famous works, which are set in farming villages and depict the joys and sorrows of people’s lives through a warm gaze, are the linked novels Gwanchon supil (관촌수필 Essays on Gwanchon, 1977) and Uri dongne (우리동네Our Neighborhood, 1981).

Jung Young-su was born in 1983 in Seoul, Korea. He made his literary debut in 2014 when his short story “Nights in Lebanon” won the Changbi Prize for New Figures in Literature. He has published two short story collections; Aficionados and Tomorrow’s Lovers. He has gained a wide readership for his astute depictions of discord between people and the world—based on his unique lyricism and deft humor. He won the Mukhakdongne Young Writers’ Award for two consecutive years—firstly in 2018 and then in 2019, and received the 2024 Hyundae Literary Award.

Park Gyehyeong is a South Korean novelist. He began his literary career in 1964 when Meomureugo sipdeon sungandeul (머무르고 싶던 순간들 Moments I Wanted to Linger) won an award for Tongyang Radio’s literary competition. He published several works with the themes of human freedom, love, and pains in life. Hyun Hojeong

She was born in Gyeonggi-do in 1993. She won the first Park Ji-ri Literary Award with her short story "The Struggle of the Short-Lived Girl" and published it as her debut book. She also received the 'Spring Writers' Award' from the Korea National University of Arts for her play "And the Turtles Nodded Their Heads."
