"Park Chan-soon was born in 1946 in Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Park Chan-soon made her literary debut in the Chosun Ilbo (daily newspaper) Spring Literary Contest in 2006, after working as a film translator for thirty years. Her first collection of short stories, The Garden of Balhae, was published in 2009 by Moonji Publishing Company. Her second collection, Ladybugs Fly from the Top, was published by Moonji Publishing Company in 2013. In 2011, Park participated in the fall residency of the IWP (International Writing Program of the University of Iowa), sponsored by the Korean Arts Council. People do not understand each other based on birthplace and bloodline anymore. Rather, people can see clearer boundaries when they define each other via cultural and economic lines. Novelists are also the same. The author can be explained through his or her imagination, but that imagination is placed within the cultural boundaries that form a person’s life. Chung So-Sung is a part of the group that has been culturally influenced within the boundaries of French literature, which is rare in Korean literature, but still has considerable impact. Chung So-Sung, with a background as a graduate of Seoul National University’s French literature studies along with Yi In-seong and Choi Suchol, is a writer who has written novels that discuss the ideological problems and the loss of humanity from the reality of a divided country, as well as the resulting violence and oppression.

Born in Seoul and majoring in modern dance, Kim Yun-hee published the full-length novel "Lost You" in 1984. This novel, which records the author's experiences af-ter losing a loved one, sold over 2.2 million copies, achieving million-seller status and gaining widespread popularity. According to a survey by a South Korean newspaper, "Lost You" ranked among the top 100 best-selling books of the 20th century and was translated into Japanese. "Lost You" depicts the love story between the author and a man she met during her time studying dance. While studying in the United States, she discovers that the man she thought was dead is still alive. However, the man, despite surviving, eventually takes his own life, leaving the protagonist alone. This work was adapted into a film of the same name in 1991. Following "Lost You," Kim Yun-hee published works such as "Season of Un-happiness," "Blooming Flowers," and "Alone Again" before passing away in 2007 due to an illness.
