Bang Hyunhee began her literary career with Saeholligi (Hobby) published by Dongsuhmunhak. She was awarded in the novel category at the 1st Munhakpan Award for her novel Dalhangari Sok Geumdongmulgogi (Glit-bronze Fish in a Moon Jar) and wrote short story collections such as Babillon Teukgeubupyeon (Babylon Express Mail), Lost in Seoul, and Taoreuda (Burning), as well as novels including Ne Gaji Bimilgwa Han Gaji Geojinmal (Four Secrets and One Lie), Dareul Jjonneun Seupai (A Spy Chasing a Moon), and Sesangeseo Gajang Sasohan Boksu (The World’s Most Trivial Revenge). Her novel Burungwa Chinhaejineun Beop (How to Befriend Misfortune) was selected for “Book to Film” at the Busan International Film Festival in 2016, and her short story Nae Majimak Gongnaengsik Poreuswe (My Last Air-Cooled Porsche) won the excellence prize at Yi Sang Literary Award in 2018.
