Chong Chaebong (1946-2001) was a South Korean children’s literature writer. He developed a new genre—children’s literature for adults—that established a wide readership among adults. His works have been recognized for high-quality writing, breaking the prejudice that children’s literature is inferior to adult fiction. His most acclaimed work, Oseam (오세암) , was made into an animation film and was successful in the entertainment industry, receiving awards in many international film festivals.

Shin Hankyun

Shin Hankyun is a South Korean pottery artisan and novelist. Shin carries on traditional Joseon-era bowl-making techniques and displays his works at domestic and international galleries. In order to recreate the lives of Joseon-era pottery artisans who mastered Joseon white porcelain, which contributed to Japan’s economic rise, Shin wrote the epic historical novel Sinui geureut (신의 그릇 The Bowl of God) (2008). The novel tells the story of a Japanese pottery artisan who was dragged to Japan during the Imjin War. Shin Sang-Ung
신상웅
Shin Sang-Ung (1938 ~) is a Korean novelist. He is one of the most representative writers of so-called the “April Revolution Generation” and has been perceived as a pioneer in literary fields dealing with the tragic division of the country. He made himself known with his novella Hipokeurateseu hyungsang (히포크라테스 흉상 A Bust of Hippocrates) (1968), and his novel Simyaui jeongdam (심야의 정담 Three Voices at Midnight) (1972) is his most widely-read book.
